3. Supposively best firework/new year show??? (says so my husband!!!hhahah)
4. Undeveloped Country
5. High crime, dangerous areas i.e. “City of God”
6. Rio de Janiero is a great tourist spot…..basically advertised everywhere.
7. Amazing soccer players
8. Invented the airplane
9. Amazon!!!!!
10. Most water in the world
11. Economy is not so good
12. Get paid once a month
13. Eventhough most are skinny, there are over and average wieght Brasilians
14. Mango and banana trees!!!!!
15. Hot Hot Hot, but can get cold and snow and rain
16. Voodoo
17. Extremely happy and outgoing…….and dont forget Loud! =)
18. Delicious food…….lots of meat??? Cheap sushi!!!!!!

Wonderful, happy people and beautiful beaches. We know about the violence, poverty, and other problems there too. Some of us who are lucky enough to visit Brazil can look beyond the bad and see there is a lot of good in Brazil too.

In the North you have the Amazon , which is the world’s greatest rainforest.
Brazil has so many great beaches , they are too many to list.
Also you have many cities that are protected by UNESCO, because of the beautiful historical buildings :
Salvador, Paraty, Olinda, Sao Luis and the gold cities in Minas Gerais
Also Brazil has the greatest football team (soccer team) in the world.
Brazil has some of greatest Artists in the World and
cities like Rio are unique..

It depends. I have lived in Brazil, so I am not a typical American with regards to this question, but I do know what a lot of people say to me:
1) It’s Dangerous
2) It’s Poor
3) Beautiful Beaches
4) They mistake the local language for Spanish sometimes, but much less than you hear people making it out to be. I’d say only 20% say Spanish. Most will say Portuguese or “I don’t think it’s Spanish, what do they speak there?”
5) Pele and soccer
6)Amazon
They know little about the history, the society, food or culture. They don’t realize it had a dictatorship 20 years ago or don’t realize they have a democracy today. They think the food is spicy like Mexican. They don’t realize that the South is full of German and Italian immigrants. They know Rio and what it looks like but not Sao Paulo.
