The Cancer Treatment Centers of America is a private for profit facility that often will not treat patients who do not meet their ‘criteria’. Most reports that I have heard from people who went said they got just as good coverage at their local hospital and it wasn’t half as expensive. Don’t worry about not being able to take your mother there. Instead the best cancer treatment facilities in the country are the comprehensive designated cancer centers found in nearly each state. They are among the top facilities in the world for cancer treatment and new reseach.

If they won’t treat her your going to have to find a different place to take her for treatment, I know this is so sad, I am going though the same thing, where do you live? because in NY they help everybody but here in Florida they don’t want to help anybody.
Good Luck and God Bless
I am assuming this is a public insurance?
Well, she wont be able to buy her own. Anyone that would cover her would charge way more than could be afforded. If you have your own insurance you may be able to add her as a dependant. It would depend on how good your insurance is on whether they will let you do that and how much it will cost.
Have you considered and other hospitals? What type of cancer does she have? Are there other hosps that specialize in this type that will accept it?
Most health insurance providers won’t cover someone who already has cancer or at least they won’t pay for any cancer related bills.
I’m sorry to hear about your situation. I hope you can find a place that will take her health coverage. Look around the net. Maybe you can find a cancer organization or something that will help with the costs or help find medical care. Look into government programs too. I wish you the best of luck.
