Is Cosmetic Dentistry Perceived In The Same Way As Cosmetic Surgery?

What i mean is, they’re both for enhancing ones appearance, but the latter can be more extreme. Getting dental work done is for general oral hygiene and improving ones smile. So for example, would a major makeover of the mouth by getting veneers fitted to fill in gaps and straightening teeth etc be seen as unnatural as having breast implants? How do people see this?
Yes the same as they both enhance appearance, no not really unatural,there is also a hygiene aspect and dental health aspect to it, for eg getting braces to straighten teeth helps with hygiene
